Radisson Blu Strand Hotel

Radisson Blu Strand Hotel

The building has undergone many face-lifts over the years, and has accrued more wrinkles with each passing decade. Now we’ve stripped all that away, and what emerges is a beautiful and well-made building. All of the rooms, corridors, stairs, and the monumental ground floor have been given a new look. A consistent gray hue holds together the hotel’s many levels and provides a serene foundation. Splashes of color have been added, inspired by the waters of Nybro-viken, the surrounding rooftops, and the buildings outside, while the black and white marble patterns of the ground floor add new elegance.

The early twentieth century cared a great deal for materials. They were to be authentic and able to age gracefully. Oiled wood, natural stone, color-though stucco, and cast metals—we carry on in the same spirit. To go with these, we’ve selected a few of the best pieces of contemporary furniture from Sweden and Italy.

This is where we are today, dreaming of guests arriving from all over the world. We love diversity, embracing the bucolic countryside, and raving about the hometown.

Come by for a visit—we’ve put on our best outfit for you.
